The day the PM met 'The Boss'

KUALA LUMPUR: South Indian superstar Rajnikanth today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Najib shared a photo of him and the screen legend via a Twitter posting this evening.

“It was great to meet Thalaiva @superstarrajini again today, this time in Malaysia. Enjoy your time here!” Najib tweeted.

Rajnikanth, also popularly known as ‘The Boss’, has starred in more than 150 films, predominantly in Tamil cinema.

Najib met Rajnikanth in March last year in Chennai, during his official visit to India in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and India.

The Kollywood superstar is in town to attend the ‘Natchathira Vizha 2018’ programme.

It will be held on Saturday at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The Natchathira Vizha 2018 programme is an entertainment festival involving 300 Indian and Malaysian artistes.

Apart from Rajinikanth, fellow Kollywood star Kamal Haasan, as well as other famous Indian music directors and singers, will also attend the festival.

The event is organised by SIASA in collaboration with MyEvents International and with the support of Malaysia Major Events, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia.

The festival, which is expected to bring together more than 30,000 spectators, will start at 10am and end at 10pm. It will not only highlight entertainment performances but also feature cricket and football matches.
