Najib on 5-day working visit at the invite of King Salman

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak five days working visit to Saudi Arabia is to further discuss bilateral issues with King Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Prime Minister's Office, in a statement on Facebook, said the working visit is at the invitation of King Salman.

Najib is accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Tun Rahah Mohammad Noah, family members and acquaintances as well as his officers.

“It is the intention of the prime minister to perform umrah during this working visit; therefore he has invited several family members and some acquaintances to accompany him.

“The prime minister’s siblings and acquaintances paid for their own expenses to the Holy Land. Only Rahah is in the same plane with the prime minister.

“All their names have been included in the official list of the prime minister’s guests list for the ease of administrative affairs with the Saudi Arabia government for umrah.

“The prime minister and his entourage have also been given state guest status by the Saudi Arabia’s government,” the statement read.
