"In Raub, there is only one relief centre opened which is Masjid Jamek Kuala Semantan that shelters three victims from one family," he said.

Meanwhile based on online portal infobanjir.water.gov.my as at 10am, three rivers in the state were near the danger level.

The three rivers are Sungai Lepar at Gelugor bridge here with reading of 29.27m (30.00m is the danger level), Sungai Pahang at Paloh Hinai, Pekan at 10.25m (10.30m is the danger level) and Sungai Belat at Seri Damai here at 4.18m (5.00m is the danger level).

In Johor, more people have been evacuated to flood relief shelters (FRCs) in Segamat and Mersing.

The total number of evacuees stood at 627 people this morning as compared to 160 people last night. Two new FRCs were opened in Mersing.

Johor Health, Environment, Education and Information Committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat in a statement here said 530 people from 106 families were now in six FRCs in Mersing while 97 people from 20 families are at four FRCs in Segamat.

He said Jalan Telok Arong in Mersing was not passable due to a landslide and that the authorities were rectifying the situation.

Motorists heading to Mersing-Endau can use Jalan Tanjung Resang-Jalan Mersing or Endau-Jalan Air Papan as alternatives.
