Kelana Jaya LRT delayed over technical issues

KUALA LUMPUR: The Kelana Jaya Light Rapid Transit (LRT) was delayed for about an hour from Damai to KLCC due to a technical issue today.

RapidKL, in a Facebook update at 7am, said the delay was caused by a switch machine intermittent signalling issue, with the trains being driven manually.

A spokesman for RapidKL said took them less than hour to detect the delay during the start of rush hour and that there were minimal delays in between the stops.

“There was minimal delay and the issue was detected early in the morning. The signal between Dato Keramat and Damai was interrupted which led to the manual driving of the trains,” said the spokesman.

In a later update at 8:03am, the company said the trains are operating as usual but at lower speed from Dato Keramat to Damai station.
