JOHOR BARU: Johor State Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Mohamad Aziz is scheduled to undergo a heart bypass surgery at the Prince Court Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Feb 20.
According to his wife, Puan Sri Azizah Zakaria, the former Sri Gading Member of Parliament, was admitted to the medical centre on Feb 8 after complaining of breathing difficulties while attending an event in the capital.
“He is okay now, just resting at the hospital while waiting to undergo the surgery after the Chinese New Year,” she told Bernama when contacted here.
Azizah, who is also Parit Raja assemblyman, expressed hope that all quarters would pray for smooth running of her husband’s surgery.
Mohamad, 78, is also Umno Permanent Deputy Chairman and a member of Tabung Haji Board of Directors. -- Bernama
