Najib pays his respects to Chow Chee Keong

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak visited the family of the late Chow Chee Keong this morning and paid his last respects to the former national goalkeeper.

Najib also signed a condolence book at the Nirvana Memorial Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The Prime Minister met with Chee Keong’s wife Christina Kwok and son, Adrian Chow, and other members of the football legend’s family.

Chee Keong, who died on Wednesday, February 21, after suffering from bladder cancer, won Asia’s best goalkeeper award for five consecutive years from 1966-1970.

Najib said on his Twitter account: “Visited the late Chow Chee Keong’s family this morning, offered my condolences to them. He was the greatest goalkeeper Malaysia ever had.”
