BAGAN DATUK: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today expressed hope that the farmers would make the right decision by retaining the current government.
The Deputy Prime Minister said such a move would help the farmers nationwide to continue to enjoy the development and allocations in agriculture sector.
“The opposition might say that they can devise a better programme if they rule the country. But fate has decided that three states (led by the opposition) are not under us, but the ‘water tank’ (seat of power) is from Putrajaya.
"Don't simply decide to change to a new shirt; it may not fit you perfectly. What we need is comfort and sometimes, there is no need to change,” he said in his speech at the launch of the state-level farmers' carnival in Hutan Melintang here today.
Zahid who is also Bagan Datuk member of parliament said when the rakyat are comfortable with retaining the government, all the plans would go smoothly.
As such, Zahid asked the Farmers Organization nationwide to hold a road tour in order to promote the government's agenda.
