Lexis Suites Penang enlivens occupants of Grace Harmony Home for Chinese New Year

GEORGE TOWN: Lexis Suites Penang brought festive cheer to some 15 occupants of Grace Harmony Home in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration recently.

The occupants, aged between 48 and 80, were feted to a sumptuous lunch, specially crafted by the hotel's executive chef Chef Johnno and his culinary team, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

The menu included Braised Mushroom & Fatt Choy with Broccoli, Wok Fried Chicken with Lotus Root, Golden Japanese Bean Curd with Mustard Plant, Aloe Vera with Snow Fungus and many juicy Mandarin oranges and crispy fortune cookies.

The hotel's Sport & Recreation team also orchestrated a dance performance with the occupants, dancing along to the joyous melodies and also engaged in fun, interactive games with them.

The programme also featured a lion dance performance, much to the delight of the occupants and their fellow guardians.

"It is indeed a pleasure to see the occupants enjoying themselves.

"As the hotel team gears up to spread festive cheer among the less privileged, we continue to help them in fulfill their needs," said hotel general manager Ben Ho.

Ho then presented angpows to the occupants and guardians.

They also donated items such as banquet table, storage boxes, pails, brooms, dustpans, milk powder, Milo, assorted Chinese cookies and four cartons of box drinks.

The programme ended with a group photography session.
