KUALA LUMPUR: The successful construction of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Sendayan and police air wing unit base in Subang dispels negative allegations against government.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that this was especially true in answering negative claims being carried in non-traditional and non-conventional media.
"The claims led to negative perceptions against our men in uniform.
"News with adverse consequences when repeated could enter the mind.
"Today's event here and the opening of the Sendayan RMAF base (in Negeri Sembilan) proves that all the news are false and mere negative assumptions that must be rejected by the people.
"Seeing is believing," he said when speaking in a speech at the official opening of the police air wing unit airbase in Subang here today.
Among those also present were Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun and Treasury Secretary-General Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.
