KUALA LUMPUR: Football legend Mohd Raimi Mohammed Jamil passed away today at the age of 55.
The former national goalkeeper from Terengganu died at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur at 6.30pm.
Raimi, who was Malaysia’s top goalkeeper in the 1980s, underwent heart surgery 11 days ago.
Raimi is survived by his wife, Rinawati Halan, 38, son Muhammad Aiman Haziq, 13, and daughter, Nur Wahida Fatiah, 14.
He will be buried at Tanah Perkuburan Kampung Kesom Manir, Kuala Terengganu.
