Time to reflect on govt's achievements - Salleh

KUALA LUMPUR: Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said it is now time for Malaysians to reflect on what the government has achieved in the last five years with just three weeks left before the 14th general election.

Salleh called on the rakyat n (people) to judge Barisan Nasional (BN) on the party’s performance and not on empty rhetoric.

He added that after winning the 13th general election, BN focused more on running the country than on attacking the other side of the political divide like what the opposition pact does.

“We cannot ‘main politik’ (play politics) every single day of our lives. There comes a time when we need to do some work,”he said in his blog posting, tonight.

Salleh added that BN is a people-centric government and acknowledges that the people are the boss who would judge them at the ballot box.

“That is why we always have the peoples’ welfare at heart,” said Salleh, adding that making false and unachievable promises was easy, but delivering them not so easy.

However, he said BN delivers what it promises, as manifested by the party’s track record. — BERNAMA
