KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad has resigned as Felda chairman effective today.
In a statement, he said his resignation letter was sent to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"Since I was appointed Felda chairman by the previous government, it is only proper for me to relinquish my post in the institution that is now headed by a new government," he said.
Shahrir was appointed Felda chairman on Jan 6 2017.
