(Updated) Najib family's Pavilion Residences apartments raided again

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have again raided apartment units belonging to the family of Datuk Seri Najib Razak at Pavilion Residences in Bukit Bintang.

Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) policemen were seen entering the luxury condominium premises earlier in the evening.

Among the things they carried with them was a machine used to count money.

Police were seen carrying at least 15 bags out of the premises about 12.15am.

Federal police CCID director Datuk Seri Amar Singh confirmed that his men were raiding the apartments again, then asked pressmen gathered there to be patient for more news.

The three apartments were the subject of raids on Wednesday night held simultaneously with one at Najib’s home in Jalan Langgak Duta.

The raids began about 10.15pm. But while the raids at the Pavilion Residences ended five hours later, the one at the Langgak Duta house lasted almost 24 hours.

Several boxes were taken out from both the house and the apartments, but Najib’s lawyer Datuk Harpal Singh Grewal had said this were merely handbags, clothes and personal items.

Tonight’s raid is still on-going.
