Najib leaves MACC after more than four hours of questioning (NSTTV)

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Razak has finally left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters after a lengthy questioning session on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) subsidiary, SRC International, on Tuesday.

Najib, speaking to the press briefly after emerging from the headquarters, said the questioning was done professionally.

"I have already gsiven my statement to MACC on the SRC International issue in 2015. My statement today was more detailed apart from verifying some documents.

"The session started at 10am till 2.15pm with a 30-minute break.

"I want to thank the team that recorded my statement as they conducted the session professionally," he told reporters before leaving the building at 3.15pm.

Najib said he would have his statement recorded again on Thursday.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull has earlier clarified that Najib was summoned to have his statement recorded, not to arrest or charge him.

Shukri said only Najib was being called in Tuesday, and that one or two individuals may be summoned to assist in the investigation.
