KUALA LUMPUR: Beginning June 1, new parking rates will be implemented at the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line’s Park and Ride facilities to reflect the reduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to zero per cent.
In a statement issued Thursday by Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp), the parking fee for those who using the MRT will be fixed at RM4 per entry, per day.
As for motorists who park at the Park and Ride facilities but do not use the MRT, the rates are different and will vary depending on the specific Park and Ride facility used.
Motorcyclists will be charged RM1 per day, per entry at all Park and Ride facilities.
These new parking rates will take effect at Park and Ride facilities operated by MRT Corp in Sungai Buloh, Phileo Damansara, Maluri, Taman Midah, Taman Suntex, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Bukit Dukung and Sungai Jernih.
The rates for other parking facilities along the SBK Line at Kwasa Damansara, Kwasa Sentral, Bandar Utama, Pusat Bandar Damansara and Kajang, which are operated by external parties, remain unchanged for now.
