BUTTERWORTH: Rumah Permata Kasih manager Aina Amran has called the #HMKotakRezeki a sweet surprise.
Aina said this in an immediate reaction when she received the assistance at the orphanage in Taman Pauh Jaya here Thursday.
She said the aid would help to alleviate the burden of the home with more than 25 primary school-going children.
Aina said she was surprised when told that the home has been selected once again to receive the #HMKotakRezeki this year.
“We are extremely grateful and thankful for the assistance, donated by various parties, through Harian Metro.
“We certainly did not expect to receive the assistance for a second time,” she added.
Aina said they welcomed such assistance, which have been able to bring joy to the lives of the orphans for the last few years.
The home also received aid from individuals and private companies.
All 10 big boxes of the #HMKotakRezeki, weighing 20kg each comes with 10 big packets of rice.
The boxes also include flour, sugar, cordial drinks, tea, evaporated milk, biscuits, margerine, cooking oil, sardine, chili, soya sauce, pasta, mineral water and vermicelli.
Among the sponsors are AffinBank Group, Pos Laju, Watsons Malaysia, Nabati Food Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Massimo by The Italian Baker, Kimball, Central Sugar Refinery (CSR) and QNet International.
Also present at the handing over ceremony was Pos Laju Butterworth manager Che Puteh Man.
