Justo files criminal complaint with Scotland Yard over PetroSaudi-1MDB scandal

KUALA LUMPUR: Former PetroSaudi International executive Xavier Andre Justo has filed a criminal complaint with Scotland Yard in relations to the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal.

According to his Facebook post, Justo said he filed the report against several individuals and companies in the United Kingdom linked to the PetroSaudi-1MDB deal.

“Criminal complaints filed in London against a few UK companies and individuals involved in the Petrosaudi-1MDB deal.

“The fight is not over yet, we will chase them all, from the top to the bottom. Their crimes will not be forgotten or forgiven, never!

“We fight as a family because we suffered as a family! We will rest when these crooks will be arrested, not before,” he wrote, without mentioning names.

According to The Malaysian Insight, one of the companies is believed to be the Royal Bank of Scotland, the parent company to a Swiss private bank Coutts Zurich.

Previously, it was reported that Justo had leaked several confidential documents from the PetroSaudi joint venture with 1MDB.

Soon after, Justo was arrested by the police on the Thai island of Koh Samui and was jailed for three years in August 2015, after being found guilty of blackmailing PetroSaudi.

He was released in December 2016 after being granted a royal amnesty by Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn and later deported to Switzerland.

1MDB was the brainchild of ousted prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and after the May 9 polls this year, he has been the subject of investigations on alleged multi-billion dollar graft scandal at the state-owned sovereign fund.
