RM400 Raya contribution for all tok imam, tok bilal, tok siak, KAFA teachers

KUALA LUMPUR: Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng announced that Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has decided to give RM400 to all imam, bilal, tok siak and KAFA (Kemahiran Asas Fardu Ain) teachers in the country as Hari Raya contribution.

This was shared by Lim on his Facebook page this evening.

Meanwhile, in the same post, Lim shared his joy at being able to attend a buka puasa event in Penang today.

While he may be based in the nation's capital following a change in portfolio from state to federal, Penang will always be close to Lim.

Formerly the state's Chief Minister, Lim attended a buka puasa event at Masjid Jamek Kubang Buaya in Butterworth today.

Lim said that despite having attended breaking of fast events in Putrajaya this Ramadan, nothing brings the same kind of happiness when he attends buka puasa with friends in Penang.

"For the past 10 years, I have been involved in breaking fast in Penang and this year, it makes me miss Penang. Today, I got the chance to again break fast here. As I know the residents here are having the finest relationship with one another and living a quality life," Lim said on his Facebook page.
