Traffic reported to be slow-moving on most major highways, says PLUS

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic along most major highways remains slow tonight as Malaysians head back to their hometown on the second day of Aidilfitri.

A PLUS Malaysia Berhad spokesman told Bernama that as at 11.30pm, traffic on both directions of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) was slow but under control.

He said the northbound route from Jelapang to Bukit Berapit was also slow with an increase in vehicles while the southbound traffic was also slow from Simpag Renggam to Kulai due to the same reason.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said eastbound traffic from Gombak to Genting Sempah via the East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1) was smooth, while traffic on the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) was slow from Kuala Terengganu toll plaza, eastbound and westbound.

"Traffic at Kuala Lumpur-Karak (KLK) Highway is smooth from Gombak Toll Plaza till Pantai Timur," he said.
