Najib arrives at MACC detention centre

PUTRAJAYA: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), has arrived at its headquarters at 3.35pm.

A source said Najib arrived with a red Proton Inspira, escorted by five cars.

It was learnt that the car ferrying Najib entered the underground parking and he was whisked away immediately to the detention centre.

Earlier in a statement, the 1Malaysian Development Berhad special taskforce confirmed that Najib was arrested at 2.35pm over the probe into SRC International Sdn Bhd and will be brought to court for remand at the Kuala Lumpur Court on Wednesday.
