Najib's supporters come out in scores with placards in Chinese, English

KUALA LUMPUR: Supporters of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak were out in full force at the Kuala Lumpur court complex, with placards in both English and Chinese, to show their support.

Arriving early this morning, the band of supporters carried placards featuring messages such as #freenajib and “Respect Civil Rights” in both languages.

It would seem that some placards in Chinese characters were more visible than those in English.

Ironic, considering the fact that recently, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng was lambasted for releasing a press statement in Chinese, even though it also came in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

The group appeared to be part a larger group of supporters from Umno.
