BANGI: Brahim’s Dewina Group of Companies (Brahim’s) today contributed RM30,000 to two charity homes in an event which also marks its 30th anniversary celebration.
Dewina Holdings Sdn Bhd executive chairman Datuk Seri Ibrahim Ahmad said the contribution was part of the good corporate citizen’s programme.
“The contribution worth RM30,000 is given through our own foundation Baitul Hayati Foundation to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Peribadi Mulia Kajang and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angels Kuala Lumpur.
“Sixty children from both homes were present to join the Hari Raya feast today,” he said.
As one of the leaders in the food manufacturing industry, Ibrahim said Brahim's wants to take advantage of its Hari Raya celebration by turning it into part of the company's corporate social responsibility efforts to help the less fortunate.
At the same event, 67 employees of Brahim’s Dewina Group of Companies were awarded for their long service.
“Long service awards presented today are aimed at celebrating their length of service and loyalty where some of them have been serving the company ranging from 15 to 31 years.
“I am delighted to recognise their commitment and loyalty to the group of companies and to congratulate them on their long service awards," Ibrahim said.
He added that today's event is also special as it is a convergence of three companies commemorating Brahim's presence in Malaysia.
