KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat adjourned today after sitting for 20 days from July 16.
Before adjourning the meeting, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof said it could be described as historical because the transition of power took place smoothly.
“This proves the maturity of the members of Parliament in managing the diversity that exists in this country,” he said.
The last Dewan Rakyat sitting was on April 5 before Parliament was dissolved on April 7 to make way for the 14th General Election.
According to the Dewan Rakyat calendar, the next sitting is scheduled to be held from Oct 15 to Dec 11. - Bernama
