Next year's haj quota set at 30,200

KUALA LUMPUR: The haj quota for Malaysia has been set at 30,200 next year.

This was revealed today in a written reply from a minister in the prime minister’s department to Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid (BN-Umno-Kuala Kangsar).

“Therefore, the official haj quota for Malaysia for the haj season of 2019 is at 30,200,” read the statement.

In 1978, the Organisation of Islamic Countries set the haj quota at 0.1 per cent of a country’s population.
