TM launches unifi plans for as low as RM19

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has introduced a new unifi Mobile plan for as low as RM19.

Unifi executive vice-president Moharmustaqeem Mohammed said the latest postpaid mobile plans were designed to fit the needs of consumers.

Moharmustaqeem said the four Unifi Mobile plans were introduced in addition to the unifi Mobile 99 plan offering unlimited data, calls and SMS.

The four new plans, he said, start at RM19 for the Mobile 19 plan, RM29 for Mobile 29, RM39 for Mobile 39 and RM59 for the Mobile 59 unifi plan.

“TM continues to innovate through feedback from customers by understanding customers who want multiple data at affordable prices .

“Our aspiration is that every household will stay in touch with the plans we provide. Unifi can make Internet connections more accessible to all.

“This new plan will drive our brand growth and currently unifi as a whole has 2.5 million users,” he said after launching the Mobile unifi plan here yesterday.

Moharmustaqeem said the introduction of the new unifi Mobile plan will also enhance the group’s commitment as a communications service provider in Malaysia.

He said it was the group’s responsibility to provide affordable and comprehensive Internet connections for its customers.

In addition, Moharmustaqeem said TM was also aiming to complete unifi and Streamyx upgrade activities next month.

He said a million customers are eligible to receive this upgrade, with existing unifi customers being able to enjoy higher speed of up to 10 times.

“To date, we have upgraded more than 910,000 unifi customers.

“While for Streamyx subscribers, currently over 66 per cent of 340,000 Streamyx subscribers have enjoyed upgrades to unifi (for Streamyx customers living in unifi coverage areas).

“Only 130,000 Streamyx subscribers have not yet enjoyed the upgrades and we encourage those who have not done so to upgrade them as soon as possible.

“Unifi is also committed to providing more improvements and new services in the coming years to provide better connectivity,” he said.
