NSTP launches NewsConnect expo

KUALA LUMPUR: New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd has launched the NewsConnect 2019 advertising expo, which offers businesses an opportunity to expand their brands on NSTP’s print, digital, social media and branded content platforms.

NewsConnect offers five attractive advertising packages, with discounts of up to 94 per cent for businesses via NSTP’s three titles’ print and digital platforms.

NSTP advertising general manager Roche Chew said NewsConnect’s goal was to help businesses grow through advertising packages on NSTP’s platforms.

“The aim of NewsConnect is simple: to help Malaysian businesses successfully grow and learn proven marketing strategies that use multiple advertising platforms provided by NSTP,” he said, adding that NewsConnect also offered unrivalled advertising packages compared to what was currently available on the market.

“NewsConnect offers five exciting advertising packages with discounts up to 94 percent.

“Our offers will help our clients’ businesses reach their target audiences on our three main newspapers — Berita Harian, Harian Metro and the New Straits Times, as well as the three titles’online and social media platforms,” he said.

The five main advertising packages on offer at the expo are priced between RM50,000 and RM350,000.

Roche said NSTP’s large audience numbers should be the main draw for businesses to expand their client base.

“NewsConnect is a unique opportunity for businesses to reach 15 million customers every month. Not many other places can provide this,” he said.

Roche expects the expo to gain 1,000 registered clients.

Potential advertisers described the offers as attractive and affordable.

Wonderlense Production business development manager Shafizam Steven said NewsConnect’s affordability was a prime factor.

“Compared to the other advertising platforms out there, the packages offered by NewsConnect are really competitive. We especially like the various multiple advertising platforms offered to us,” he said.

KPJ Pahang senior marketing officer Amerul Hamidi Abdul Hamid who had travelled from Kuantan to attend the expo said based on market pricing, NewsConnect appeared to offer the most attractive pricing for its packages.

“None of them can compare to the affordable package and the value provided by NewsConnect.

“This is why we traveled all the way from Pahang,” he said.

The NewsConnect expo runs from March 18 to March 22 and is being held at Level 3, Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

There will be six sessions for potential clients daily at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm.

The expo is expected to draw more than 1,500 visitors.

Those who sign up for NewsConnect’s packages also stand a chance to win a Nissan X-Trail sports utility vehicle.
