#NSTkitty wants you to keep reading NST

KUALA LUMPUR: Yesterday a tuxedo feline, decided to drop by NST Online's Twitter feed. Without any headlines or captions, as is the normal practise for news updates, the furball dropped a single photo, much to the amusement, and delight, of many Twitter users.

Nicknamed #NSTkitty, hashtag included (because the feline wants to be hip), the cat which is mostly black with a distinct white and pink nose and white down the chest, gazed at the camera in the photo, looking every bit the majestic being it is.

The photo has garnered over 250 Retweets and saw many Twitter users sharing photos of their own adorable cats.

One Twitter user found the picture soothing in a flurry of sad news updates.

"With every heart wrenching news passing every second on the feed this tweet somehow just make me stop and breathe. That’s a really cute cat," shared @RsInFzrn.

Several others meanwhile joked that this was real news.

"Best news ever," said @HusinPantalon

"Real news, at last," said @presenceinwired.

As for @muhdfaris58, he expressed hope that #NSTkitty will be able to bring back Loki. However, as at press time, we do not yet know if she is a Flerken.

Flerken or not, #NSTkitty received much love from folks on Twitter and she is very happy to have been able to brighten up the timeline with her presence.

She wants everyone to keep following NST Online for the latest news updates and she promises to drop more photos, and perhaps even videos in the future.

While she is happy with her new nickname, #NSTkitty's real name is Rey, after the Jedi-in-training Jakku scavenger from the Star Wars sequels.
