Boy injured after being struck by plough blade

TAMBUNAN: A boy had to endure two hours of pain after a plough blade pierced his leg at Kampung Tingkolod here yesterday.

In the incident at 4.30pm, Alexander Neo Junin, 11, was helping his family to plough the land to plant crops.

He was believed to have stood near the plough machine when the blade hit his left leg.

Sabah fire and rescue operational centre senior officer Agustavia Joe Guasi said the department deployed five personnel to the scene after receiving a distress call at 4.45pm.

"The firemen had to cut the blade using special tools.

“The victim was then rushed to the hospital for further treatment," he said, adding that he was in stable condition

Guasi said the operation ended at 6pm.
