Selangor Sultan, state assemblymen meet over conversion of minors bill

SHAH ALAM: Four Pakatan Harapan (PH) state assemblymen were granted an audience with the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, at Istana Kayangan here, today.

The four – Bandar Baru Klang’s Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Kajang’s Hee Loy Sian, Kota Kemuning’s V. Ganabatirau and Kinrara’s Ng Sze Han – were seen leaving the Selangor state secretariat building in two cars en route to the palace at about 10.30am.

It is understood that the meeting was to discuss the unilateral conversion of minors bill, which was reportedly rejected by Selangor Speaker Ng Suee Lim in the last state assembly legislative sitting.

When approached, Ganabatirau refused to comment on the discussion.

“An official statement will be issued,” he told reporters.
