PUTRAJAYA: The 2019 National Warriors' Day ceremonial march-past which was scheduled tomorrow (Sept 19) at Dataran Pahlawan here, will be postponed.
In a statement earlier, the Prime Minister's Department said this was due to the worsening haze that recorded unhealthy API reading in several areas.
"However, other activities such Yasin, Tahlil and 'doa selamat' recitals and a special sermon as well as Friday prayers will go as scheduled,” it said.
Haze in Malaysia has reached unhealthy levels in several areas, with schools in Selangor, Putrajaya, Sarawak and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan have been ordered to close.
A total of 1,484 schools have been closed as of 1pm today due to the worsening haze, affecting 1,003,310 students nationwide.
