KUALA LUMPUR: Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has concluded his two-day visit to Singapore which he described as "fruitful and productive" in efforts to unlock new economic potential in the region.

In a series of tweets, Azmin thanked Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat who played host for a working lunch at the Singapore Botanic Garden.

“Appreciate the engaging and refreshing exchanges with H.E. Heng Swee Keat, who is full of enthusiasm and ideas to enhance cooperation between Malaysia and Singapore. We are each other’s closest neighbours.

“We had a fruitful, productive and promising discussion on the way going forward. We agree that Singapore and Malaysia will continue to strengthen our bilateral relations and enhance our engagements with the region.

“(I am) confident that we can unlock Asean’s economic potential together.”
