MyRumah Perak-leg offers 63,500 residential units for house hunters

IPOH: The Perak-leg of the MyRumah Property Showcase is offering up to 63,500 residential units with a gross development value (GDV) of RM5.2 billion for house hunters.

The property showcase here is offering a variety of housing projects within the localities of Ipoh, Meru and Ulu Kinta.

MyRumah Project Manager Mohd Haslan Abdul Abbas said the residential units which were located throughout the state were being offered at price of between RM70,000 and RM500,000.

“This is our first time collaborating with the Perak state government in order to boost the local real estate sector. As a media company, we are able to ‘mix and match’ in terms of demands from the people (housing) and offers by the organiser in this showcase.

“The state government is doing a great job in promoting affordable homes for Perakian’s and such effort should be continued in the future to enable the people to own their first homes,” he said today.

Known as MyRumah Perak-Ku 2019, the premier property showcase is organised by the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd’s (NSTP) and is supported by the Housing and Local Government Ministry.

A total of six property developers and three non-developers are participating in MyRumah Perak-ku held between Thursday and Sunday at Indera Mulia Stadium here between 10am and 10pm.

Casa Subang Sdn Bhd assistant manager (sales) Stanley Kok said that this was the second time that the company was involved in the MyRumah programme.

“Last year we participated in the showcase and six houses were sold during the event. We hope this year, we sell more houses as we are offering one of the lowest prices for all houses here, ranging between RM158,000 and RM165,000,” he said.

Perak Real Estate and Housing Board property executive officer Sayed Muhammad Qusyairi Sayed Shariffuddin said such collaboration involving the property sector was a good platform for the board to promote Rumah Perakku.

“Rumah Perakku is available in every district of the state and visitors are encouraged to come to our booth as the houses, an initiative under the state government, are as low as RM70,000.

“So far we have received a number of visitors not only from the Kinta Valley but outside the district such as Tanjung Malim, Kerian and Gerik. We hope more visitors will come to our booth and get a chance to own their first house,” he said.
