KUALA LUMPUR: A minor fire broke out in the kitchen of a fast food outlet at the Sungai Buloh Overhead Bridge Restaurant (OBR), on Saturday.
The small blaze was successfully doused by staff at the Burger King outlet at 6.25pm.
No one was injured in the incident.
Motorists along the highway witnessed smoke billowing from the bridge during their commute, yesterday.
“There were no injuries or structural impact resulting from the incident.
“Plus reassures the public that the incident has been contained as the fire was safely extinguished by Burger King staff before the Fire and Rescue Department arrived when it responded to the call within minutes.
“The Burger King outlet is now sealed off until further notice,” Plus Malaysia Berhad said in a statement today.
It added that the OBR area has been verified safe and all other eateries on the bridge will continue to operate to serve highways customers.
