Putrajaya, Rembau, Jasin declared Covid-19 red zones

KUALA LUMPUR: Three more areas in the country have been declared Covid-19 red zones, the Health Ministry said today.

As of 12 noon on April 6, the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, Rembau in Negri Sembilan and Jasin in Melaka reached red zone status after each recorded over 40 Covid-19 cases.

Putrajaya and Rembau recorded 41 new cases on Monday, while Jasin recorded 42.

Rembau is Negri Sembilan’s second red zone after Seremban, while Jasin is Melaka’s first red zone.

A district or location is designated as a red zone area if it registers more than 40 Covid-19 cases.

Lembah Pantai remains the location with the highest number of Covid-19 patients with 386 cases, followed by Hulu Langat (324) and Petaling district (296).
