New Covid-19 cases triple from yesterday's figure [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: There are 94 new Covid-19 cases reported as at noon today, bringing the tally to 5,945 nationwide.

This is slightly more than triple the number of new cases yesterday, which was the lowest since the Movement Control Order (MCO) was enforced, at 31.

In a press conference on Covid-19 updates today, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said another 55 have recovered and discharged from hospitals.

This brings the total number of patients who have recovered from the virus to 4,087 or 68.7 per cent of the total number of positive cases.

40 Covid-19 patients are currently in the intensive care unit (ICU).

No fatalities from the virus was reported to the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) today, keeping the death toll at 100.
