Three new Covid-19 clusters detected in Pahang

PUTRAJAYA: Three new Covid-19 clusters have been detected in Pahang, involving 15 foreign workers, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said of the total, seven new cases were detected at a plantation in Bera; six new cases at a sawmill in Maran and another two cases at a construction company, also in Maran.

Dr Noor Hisham said the new positive cases were detected following random surveillance by the state health department.

"Those who tested positive were isolated and currently receiving treatment, while close contacts who tested negative are being quarantined for 14 days," he said.

He added investigation is ongoing to determine the source of infection.
