14,750 arrived in Malaysia via air travel since June 10

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has conducted Covid-19 screening on 14,750 people upon their arrival in the country via the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) between June 10 and yesterday.

Senior Defense Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said of the total, 14,687 people tested negative and were ordered to undergo mandatory home quarantine, while 63 others were found positive for the virus and sent to the hospital for treatment.

"On July 9, 832 Malaysians arrived at the KLIA and klia2, of which 827 were ordered to undergo mandatory home quarantine and five were sent to the hospital," he told a press conference today.

He said these Malaysians were travelling from the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Netherlands, India, South Korea and Chin a.
