HR Ministry confirms HQ staff positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Resource Ministry confirms that a staff at its headquarters in Putrajaya is currently being treated at the Sungai Buloh Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 on Sunday (Oct 4).

The ministry said it took immediate preventive steps pertaining to Covid-19 by providing a list of individuals who had come in close contact with the staff to the Health Ministry.

"The close contacts consist of the ministry's staff and they have undergone health screenings and are observing quarantine at home.

"All of the ministry's officers will now be subjected to undergo Covid-19 swab tests while programmes and activities will be postponed until Oct 16," it said in a statement today.

The ministry said as part of its proactive measures, its office areas and surroundings were disinfected.

"The ministry will continue to monitor the latest developments on the Covid-19 situation and enhance prevention efforts by working closely with the authorities to break the chain of transmission."
