KUALA LUMPUR: Secondary and tertiary students returning to hostels and campuses do not need to undergo the Covid-19 swab test.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the condition set by several higher education institutes and school administration was not applicable to the students.
"Yesterday (Thursday), it was reported that some higher education institutes had imposed condition on students returning to campus to undergo swab test and pay on their own. It was also revealed during a meeting (on Covid-19) today that school students returning to hostels were also required to do the same.
"This condition set (the respective university and school) is not applicable to them, except those with (Covid-19) symptoms," he said at a Press conference today.
