Ampang police station closed after 11 cops test positive for Covid 19

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ampang police station will be temporarily closed from today after 11 personnel were tested positive for Covid-19 recently.

A memo dated Feb 22 stated that the district police chief had ordered the station to be closed for seven days until March 1.

The memo, signed by Ampang Jaya deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Azam Ismail stated that the move was aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19.

"We also ordered several of our personnel at the station to undergo self quarantine.

"Members of the public can lodge their police report or apply for inter district travel pass at the nearest police station," he said.
