KUALA LUMPUR: The number of critical stage Covid-19 patients in Malaysia has reached a new high with a record number of 337 patients placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) as of noon today compared to yesterday's 328 patients.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Twitter posting on daily nationwide coronavirus updates said currently, 176 Covid-19 patients were intubated.
Meanwhile there have been 15 more fatalities related to the virus involving Malaysians.
This raises the death toll to 1,521 since the pandemic last year.
Malaysia today recorded 2,881 new cases.
