Frustration and anger over inefficient booking system for AstraZeneca

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians looking to register for the voluntary AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine were met with frustration and disappointment as they tried their luck to book their spot.

Many took to Twitter calling out the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) to rectify issues with the registration site, specifically with choosing the date and location.

Twitter user Juliana Menon wrote: "Why can't I choose the date and location? Can @JKJAVMY please be more competent?"

Another user tweeted: "Now, why can't I choose my state?"

"I cant believe the government spent money to develop MySejahtera so that we can register for vaccination, and we end up battling for one at a non-functioning website," Aniesyuyu tweeted.

Some users shared screenshots of the website noting that the slots have been taken up merely 15-minutes since the booking opened at 12.15pm.

"Tempahan untuk Tarikh dan tempat yang dipilih Sudah Penuh," the message read.

JKJAVMY on Twitter wrote that the bookings for the AstraZeneca vaccine for adults aged 18 years and above were now opened via https://vaksincovid.gov.my.

"Open for residents in Johor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sarawak and Selangor. First-come, first-served," it wrote.
