KUALA LUMPUR: Covid-19 cases in Malaysia today dropped below the 5,000 mark.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on his Twitter account said Malaysia reported 4,949 cases as of noon.
Selangor registered 1,523 Covid-19 cases, the highest in the country, followed by Sarawak (744), Kuala Lumpur (503), Johor (430) and Negri Sembilan (323).
Other states with three-figure cases are Sabah (273), Kelantan (214), Labuan (113), Perak (136), Penang (214), Melaka (119), and Kedah (199).
States with double-digit cases are Pahang (61), Terengganu (86) Putrajaya (10) and Perlis with one case only.
The total Covid-19 cases in the country stand at 662,457.
