Fix old issues in MySejahtera before introducing new features, KJ told

KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has been urged to fix existing issues related to the MySejahtera application before introducing new features or functions.

Segambut member of parliament Hannah Yeoh said her service centre had been receiving complaints from MySejahtera users that their vaccination was not reflected in the application although they have been inoculated.

She said many users, who faced such issues with the application, have tried to contact the MySejahtera Helpdesk but not been successful in getting their vaccination status updated or their queries answered.

"In a time when mobility is greatly restricted and determined by vaccination status, it is unacceptable for the sole provider of this status to slack.

"Purchasing groceries, buying food, going to the park, entry into workplaces and using transportation - everything is dependent on their vaccination status.

"Many people are unable to do their daily routines because of these setbacks in MySejahtera and this is made worse by the inaccessible Helpdesk," Yeoh said in a statement today.

She added that some residents were given the run-around by the Helpdesk, being referred to the vaccination centres (PPVs), where they had received their vaccine shot, when some of these PPVs already ceased to operate.

"I urge the Health Minister to give his attention and priority to resolving these issues and focus on getting the vaccination status right and fixed before introducing new features or functions in the app.

"Failure to do so will cause great hardship to the people and add to their already mounting misery and stress," she said.
