KOTA BARU: 13 public Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPV) throughout the state will remain open to assist those who have yet to get their vaccination.
State health director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said the 13 would be opened until Oct 31 and they have the capacity to administer more than 7,000 vaccine doses.
Among the PPVs are the ones at Dewan Felda Ciku 3, Dewan Sri Tunjung, Dewan Apam Putra and Dewan Felda Kemahang 1.
"Before this, some 23 public PPVs were opened to the public but 10 closed in stages since early this month," he said when contacted.
Dr Zaini said the closed PPVs include Dewan Kopeladar, Dewan Putra SBJ, Dewan Majlis Daerah Jeli and Dewan APMM.
On adolescent and student vaccinations, Dr Zaini said there has been good response from students in the state.
As of Oct 21, he added about 88.6 per cent of students received their first vaccine doses with 78.6 percent of them aged between 12 and 17.
