ALOR SETAR: Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor heads the list of honorary title recipients in conjunction with the Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah's 79th birthday.
Sanusi was conferred with the Darjah Seri Setia Diraja Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (SPMK) which carries the Datuk Seri title, according to State Secretary Datuk Paduka Ammar Shaikh Makmood Naim.
"The investiture ceremony will be held in 2022. As such, the title can officially be used by Nov 1, 2021," Ammar said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Weststar Holdings Sdn Bhd managing director Tan Sri Datuk Wira Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim has been conferred with the Darjah Seri Setia Diraja (SSDK) which also carries the Datuk Seri title.
Sultan Sallehuddin also conferred the Darjah Gemilang Seri Mahkota Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DGMK) award which carries the Datuk Wira title to Treasury secretary-general Datuk Asri Hamidin.
The Darjah Dato' Setia Pahlawan Negeri Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DSPK) awards which carry the title Datuk Pahlawan was conferred to Army deputy chief Lt Gen Datuk Mohammad Abd Rahman and Royal Malaysian Navy's Region 2 admiral, Young Admiral Rusli Ahmad.
Kedah State Assembly speaker Johari Bulat and state Women, Family and Community and Welfare committee chairman Halimaton Shaadiah Saad were awarded with the Darjah Dato' Setia Sultan Sallehuddin Kedah (DSSS) award which carries the title Datuk.
The other recipient for this award is Kedah Land and Mines director Mohd Fauzi Mustaffa.
Kedah Pas commissioner Ahmad Saad @ Yahya was among the 15 recipients of Darjah Dato' Setia Diraja Kedah (DSDK) title which carries the title Datuk.
Sultan Sallehuddin also bestowed the Darjah Dato' Setia Pahlawan (DDSP) award which carries the title Datuk to three recipients.
The other honorary awards, Setia Mahkota Kedah, Setia Diraja Kedah and Jaksa Pendamai were awarded to 35 recipients.
