Five bills postponed to next Dewan Rakyat sitting [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Five bills scheduled to be tabled for the second and third reading today have been postponed to the next Dewan Rakyat sitting.

The five bills are Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Amendment) Bill 2021, Trade Unions (Amendment) Bill 2022, Printing of Qur'anic Texts (Amendment) Bill 2022, Renewable Energy (Amendment) Bill 2022 and Sustainable Energy Development Authority (Amendment) Bill 2022.

Minister in Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar proposed the postponement in the Lower House this morning.

Speaker Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun was presiding over today's session.

"I request for the second and third reading of the bills from number 11 to 15 as stated in today's Order Paper to be brought to the next sitting," Wan Junaidi told the House.
