KOTA KINABALU: Sabah aims to provide a platform for the business events community, said Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (Maceos) chairman Datuk Rosmawati Lasuki.
She added that the presence of Maceos members from the peninsula was timely. They are in the state on a 2-day familiarisation tour and to foster business collaborations.
Maceos would be the best platform for the industry players to grow together as strategic partners, said Rosmawati, who is also the chief executive officer of the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
SICC has also been appointed as a strategic partner with the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).
"Now, it is only a matter of how we are going to market ourselves. So we have MyCEB to help us in the marketing alongside Maceos.
"We will work as a team complementing each other through our creativity and innovations. This is the kind of culture we want to inculcate," said Rosmawati.
