Malaysians can pay respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II at British High Commission

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians who wish to pay their tribute and respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II can do so at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

British High Commissioner to Malaysia Charles Hay said the physical condolence book would be opened to the public from Sept 12 to 15, between 8am and 4.30pm at Menara Binjai, here.

A digital condolence book is also available on www.royal.uk.

In his statement today, Hay said the Queen would be remembered for her "extraordinary devotion to duty" and her service to Britain, the realms and the Commonwealth.

"We are profoundly saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

"My colleagues and I are already receiving many condolence messages and tributes from our friends in Malaysia.

"We are very grateful to the outpouring of affection and respect for her in Malaysia," he said.

Flags at the High Commission would be flown at half-mast until the state funeral in around 10 days' time.
