BATANG KALI: The four people, including two foreigners, who came to the command centre with teary eyes this evening, were inquiring about their missing father.

The missing man, whose name has been withheld for the time being, is a Malaysian married to a foreigner

The couple have three children, two girls and a boy, who all accompanied their mother to inquire about their missing father at the scene.

Hulu Selangor police chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said the family had lodged a missing persons report in Gontong Jaya before arriving at the landslide area this evening.

He said checks showed that the foreigner's husband is among the nine still missing.

"We confirmed this to the family and took them to the site where the camps were located, before they left," he said.

Suffian earlier urged anyone with missing family members who are believed to be in the incident vicinity to come forward or lodge a police report.
